As we speak, JPHigherEd is heading to Indianapolis for the 2016 Annual NODA Conference! This will be our first appearance at a national conference as JPHigherEd and we couldn’t be more excited! We are looking forward to raising awareness about how our company can serve orientation, transition, and retention professionals and their student staff!
Some may be wondering…how can JPHigherEd serve our campus? We’ve listed three ways below (along with some information about what you can find at our exhibit booth)!
JP Campus
On-campus facilitations
We understands the difficulties of finding quality facilitators who will successfully connect to your student leaders and facilitate a conversation that impacts the culture of your student staff moving forward. One service that we provide that can help aid your campus is our on-campus facilitations. Information about our facilitators can be found by visiting JP Campus.
This semester alone we have facilitated two on-campus programs and one program during a regional drive-in conference focused on cultivating multicultural competent orientation leaders! We pride ourselves on the community created as a result of our partnerships with institutions. And, we would love to develop that partnership with your institution in the near future!
JP Webinars
Online programs and workshops
In addition, our company can serve your office through a variety of upcoming JP Webinars that we have prepared for this upcoming year! Our webinars are facilitated by higher education professionals who are on the front lines (just like…YOU)! They approach their webinars with three vital elements in mind: (1) high-quality content; (2) tangible resources; and (3) success-driven action steps!
The most important aspect about our webinars is that they are created and facilitated are identity-conscious. As we look for professional development opportunities for our professional and student staffs it is important that we provide programs that consider the various identities on our campus! For example, we have a program title, “Supercharge your Responsible (Student) Employee Training,” which prepares student staff to respond to sexual misconduct, sexual violence, harassment, and discrimination in a manner that both aligns with Responsible Employee expectations and an awareness of intersecting identities.
#JPSPEAKS: Social Justice & Inclusion Podcast for Higher Education Professionals
Moreover, our company produces a free podcast that discuss social justice and inclusion practices across functional areas! This resource can be used by institutions as a means to expose professional and student staff to new ideas and practices. In addition, it provides an opportunity for your office to start a conversation about various topics that influence your campus!
Our latest episode was titled, “A Conversation about Whiteness with Allen Kenneth Schaidle” and can be found below by clicking the image!
